It all started in China town, Rand Peltzer was looking for a christmas present for his son, Billy. In China town, he found a mysterious creature called mogwai wich they named it Gizmo. Mr. Peltzer bud the mogwai but he had to follow 3 rules: 1) Keep him out of the light. 2) Don't ever get him wet, and whatever you do don't give him a bath. 3) The most important rule, the rule you must never forget, no matter how much he cries and no matter how much he begs, never feed him after midnight. When Mr. Peltzer got back to his home town, Kigson Falls, and gave the new pet to his son, Billy. Billy accidently got the mogwai wet and 5 new mogwais were born. The 5 new little mogwais eat after midnight and transformed into nasty little monsters called gremlins. Now is up to Billy to stop the gremlins before the gremlins take over his home town. When all this mess is over, Gizmo is taken from Billy by Gizmo's original owner.
10 years later, Billy moves to New York City along with his girlfriend Kate. Billy is now working at Daniel's Clamp. Gizmo's original owner dies and Gizmo is captured by a scientist. Gizmo is taken to a lab that is in the same building that Billy is working in. Billy finds Gizmo but Gizmo gets wet again and the mogwais come out again. This time the gremlins are uglier and stronger. The gremlins will take over the building and they are waiting until the sunlight gows down to take over New York City. Billy, Kate and some new people will have to make out something so the can kill the gremlins and save New York City.
